The Rape Aggression Defense system is a comprehensive course for women that is based on awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progresses on to the basics of hands-on defense training. Dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, the R.A.D. System utilizes easy, effective and proven self-defense and martial arts tactics. This system of realistic defense will provide knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance, based on the proven premise that a spontaneous violent attack will stimulate a victim’s natural desire to resist. Women are educated about “The Flight or Fight Syndrome,” while showing them that enhancing their option of physical defense is not only prudent, but a necessity for effective natural resistance. Safety and survival in today’s world requires a definite course of action. Effective options for taking an active role in their own self-defense and psychological well-being are provided to participants. This program has been specifically designed for women; there is a separate course designed for men.
