Chief Advisory Board
The Chief’s Advisory Board (CAB) promotes transparency in the University Police Department’s actions. The board is composed of 12 members outside of UPD, including three members from the San Marcos community who are not Texas State faculty, staff or students.
The CAB serves as a sounding-board for the Chief of Police, providing input on policy development and revisions and new initiatives and programs. The board is also an internal advisory body for disciplinary cases, providing recommendations to the Chief of Police.
The CAB is currently at full capacity and applications are closed. During open application periods, UPD will post more information on this page.
