Interim Chief James B. Dixon Promotes Darin Wilde to Lieutenant.

Interim Police Chief James B. Dixon promoted Darin Wilde, a 13-year veteran of the University Police Department to lieutenant. Wilde is a Texas State alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. He began his career as a reserve officer, with stints in patrol, community engagement, and investigations, serving as the administrative supervisor. Previous to his promotion, Wilde served as a sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division for a year. He will continue in this role, now as an investigations lieutenant. Wilde holds a Master Peace Officer License and is a Texas Commission of Law Enforcement (TCOLE) instructor, Field Training Instructor, Firearms Instructor and has served on the Firearms Team since 2011.
