UPD Student Safety Escort
Students Protecting Students
The Texas State University Police Department and the Texas State University Student Government (TSUSG) have partnered together to enhance public safety on the San Marcos campus by creating and supervising the Student Safety Escort Program (SSE).
Our trained students will provide safety escorts for our TXST students on the main campus, as well as assist in security checks to help keep our campus safe. Students are eligible to be picked up on campus and be dropped off either on or off campus.

SSE will drop off students anywhere within the red border.
- TXST Students will receive only one escort per night (unless otherwise approved).
- Riders must show BobcatCard at the time of pick-up.
Hours of Operation
- Thursday - 8:00 p.m. - 3 a.m.
- Friday - 8:00 p.m. - 3 a.m.
- Saturday - 8:00 p.m. - 3 a.m.
- Sunday - 8:00 p.m. - 12 a.m.
